Definitely a bit of a comfort read but one that if you are sharing with a young person today warrants a conversation about some of the parts that are problematic and that it portrays a very privileged life that maybe never really existed for most
And the anti immigrants attitude that crops up a couple of times. However in it's day it would have been fairly ground breaking to have such a strong and feisty female character and for that it should be applauded.
